 Beautiful & Rich Village

     Sungai Salak is my home village and one of the villages in Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province.  Sungai Salak Village is the center of Tempuling District because it is the work place of the District Office.  Sungai Salak Village has an area of ​​85 km² with a population of 8611 people.

    The majority of people living in the Sungai Salak Village are the Malay Banjar ethnic group, the second is Indragiri Malay, and less than 10% are Javanese, Batak, Bugis and Minang ethnic groups.  In general, the language used in everyday speech is Banjar Malay.

      The existing educational facilities in Sungai Salak Village are adequate. From kindergarten (TK) to high school (SMA), but the facilities at the school are not sufficient, such as laboratory equipment, sports equipment and computers. As well as fairly complete health facilities such as puskesmas and posyandu

       The Sungai Salak Village area is a water area or swamp with a river that stretches, namely the Indragiri River.  Indragiri River which is a tidal river with abundant wealth such as patin fish, baung fish, gulama fish, lunduk fish, bakut fish, etc. as well as giant prawns.  The river that runs along this village is widely used by residents in the process of carrying wood and coconut or other plantation products.  Thus, the majority of residents of Sungai Salak Village work as fishermen, farmers and gardeners.  Plantations in the Sungai Salak area are dominated by Coconut, Betel nut and Palm Oil.  Apart from being fishermen, farmers and gardeners, many people become traders, because here there is a busy market day on one day a week, namely Monday.  Therefore, I wrote this article with the title of a beautiful and rich country.
